Effects of Jute Fiber on Fresh and Hardened Characteristics of Concrete with Environmental Assessment

Concrete is a widely utilized construction material globally; however, it characterized by fundamental deficiency in its tensile strength when not reinforced. The incorporation of diverse novel materials into concrete being pursued with the aim mitigating limitations while concurrently enhancing reliability and sustainability. Furthermore, noteworthy that embodies significant quantity carbon. primary cause this phenomenon can be attributed to utilization cement as principal binding component concrete. Recent advancements research have indicated jute fiber, commonly referred JF, exhibits considerable potential for mechanical robustness Although there body literature on application fiber concrete, has been dearth capacity (JF) improve mitigate carbon emissions. This study aims cover gap existing analyzing JF relation properties environmental impact. involved conducting experiments wherein was added at varying weight percentages, specifically 0%, 0.10%, 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%. investigation encompassed number examinations both fresh hardened states addition assessments durability. tests included slump test, measuring compressive (CS), split (STS), flexural (FS). Additionally, durability focused water absorption (WA). computation embodied (EC) ratios various mix combinations. findings suggest incorporating results decrease impact relative alternative types, demonstrated rise eco-strength efficiency (ESE). Based conducted tests, an optimal proportion 0.10% determined conducive CS, STS, FS 6.77%, 6.91%, 9.63%, respectively. aforementioned deduction inferred from examinations.
